Key Components of the Excel Interface
- Ribbon:
- Located at the top of the window, it contains tabs (e.g., Home, Insert, Data) with groups of tools.
- Example tools: Formatting (bold, italics), charts, data sorting, and filtering.
- Quick Access Toolbar:
- Found in the top-left corner, it offers shortcuts for common actions like Save, Undo, and Redo.

- Navigate between worksheets using tabs at the bottom.
- Formula Bar:
- Located above the worksheet, it displays the contents of the selected cell.
- Use it to view or edit formulas and data.
- Rows, Columns, and Cells:
- Rows are numbered (1, 2, 3...), and columns are lettered (A, B, C...).
- Cells are intersections of rows and columns (e.g., A1, B2).
- Status Bar:
- Located at the bottom, it provides quick information like the sum or average of selected numbers.
- It also shows the workbook’s view mode (Normal, Page Layout).
